John Valadez (Consultant and Cultural Informant) is a Los Angeles painter and muralist. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1976 from California State University, Long Beach. He was one of the founding members of Concilio de Arte Popular in Highland Park. From the mid to late 1970′s Valadez worked collectively on murals with young people in Northeast Los Angeles. He has had several solo exhibitions of his work in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.
